Dr. Mimi da Silva
Clinical Director and Psychotherapist

Mimi da Silva, Ph.D. Mimi da Silva, Ph.D. holds an M.S.W. from New York University and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of New Jersey, and also holds the Approved Clinical Supervisor certificate. Mimi has worked as a college counselor, an employee assistance program counselor, and as a college professor as well as being a psychotherapist. She works from a strengths-based, positive perspective that emphasizes each person's uniqueness and potentialities. Her particular areas of expertise include coming out, life transitions, family issues, relationship issues, bereavement, children of same-sex Parents, dealing with chronic physical illness, anxiety depression, and stress management.

Susan Pearsall, Ph.D.,

Susan Pearsall, Ph.D., is certified as a school psychologist through Georgian Court University and received her Ph.D. from Columbia University in Cognitive Developmental Psychology. She has co-authored articles on the development of children's scientific reasoning skills as well as implementing the cognitive clinical interview in assessing technology. She is excited to bring her experience to Asbury Park Psychotherapy Associates to develop workshops for parents and future parents alike.
